About the programme

The Ancient Civilizations for the Contemporary World programme at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice, taught entirely in English, has an interdisciplinary approach and explores the many aspects of ancient civilizations, with particular attention to cultural intersections, contacts and tensions between them. This innovative comparative approach allows us to understand the role of ancient cultures in contemporary society, with its complexities and challenges.

With their unique combination of tradition and innovation, past and present, antiquity and modernity, Venice and Milan represent an ideal setting for the study of Cultural Heritage and an added value in terms of training.
